The total count has reached an impressive 76,261 students, admitted to various higher education institutions across the country for degree studies. The cumulative value of these credits amounts to TZS 221.28 billion.

The HESLB Appeals Results before the appeal window (November 8 to 17, 2023), 74,084 undergraduate students had already been allocated loans totaling TZS 214 billion in three phases announced on October 20, October 27, and November 2, 2023. The appeal window provided an essential opportunity for students who were initially unassigned or sought an increase in loan amounts for the academic year.

Of the 76,261 first-year students benefiting from loans, the demographic breakdown reveals that 57% are male students (43,468), and 43% are female students (32,794). This gender-inclusive distribution underscores the commitment to providing financial aid to deserving students, irrespective of gender.
